My research deals with economic development, structural transformation, distributional change and political economy in poor and middle-income countries

I am interested in trade diversification, economic growth and macroeconomic volatility

I am also working on income distribution and the economic analysis of social classes

Part of my recent work also provides a comparative analysis of institutional systems in developing economies
